Current Reading List - Nadine Blewett

This post is inspired by Chanelle’s What I’ve Been Reading post. I thoroughly enjoyed reading her post which made me think of sharing what’s on my list. The difference with my post, though, is that it is going to be a list of books which were added to my collection over the last while and still have to read.

Review: Clinque High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara - Nadine Blewett

My natural lashes are pathetic, to put it plainly. They are relatively straight, sparse, thin and they aren’t spectacularly long either so for years I have been on the hunt for a mascara which does it all. I have tried a countless amount of mascaras promising miracles for as long as I have worn make-up. None of them ever seem to live up to my high expectations but no matter how far I stray from Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara, I always come running back to it.

That Holy Grail Outfit - Nadine Blewett

We all have that one type of outfit; the one we reach for when we need the outfit to do all the work. It’s the outfit you need to look presentable and fake a good night’s sleep and it creates the impression that we are prepared for our day. My go-to, holy grail outfit is always some or other variation on an all-black outfit. In summer, though, I never stray far from an elegant LBD.

My outfit:

Dress: HipHop

Shoes: Dailyfriday

Bag: Zara

Sunglasses: Falco Milano

Body Positivity - Nadine Blewett

In March of 2017 I posted about my weight-loss journey. As time went on and I started to pick up the weight again I started to feel low and the confidence I had gained in my appearance started to dwindle. I realised I needed to pull myself out of that low which I managed. It is definitely an on-going process but I thought I would share more about finding that body positivity again so far.

Workwear essentials - Nadine Blewett

Workwear can be tricky especially when you need to find a balance between looking neat and giving your outfit that touch of personality. What I find most important in workwear is that it’s comfortable while still looking professional.

My outfit:

Bodysuit: Dailyfriday

Trousers: Pieces (I tried looking for them but they are out of stock everywhere – They are the Iben Pants)

Shoes: Kelso

Handbag: Forever New

The Handwriting Challenge - Nadine Blewett

The lovely Chanelle from Chanelle Hayley tagged me to do the handwriting challenge. I couldn’t resist the invitation as the challenge seemed to be quite enjoyable. Do check out her handwriting challenge which she posted too if you have a chance!

Petite Women Problems - Nadine Blewett

I had great plans of shooting new, quality photos this week for blog content but, instead, I am ill and my will to put on pretty clothes and take lovely photographs diminished the moment my nose started becoming raw and red. Instead, in an effort to stop myself from descending into another blogging sabbatical, I bring to you a bit of a rant and a few photos I quickly snapped before work a little while ago. It’s somewhat less glamorous than shooting at a stunning location as with my last two outfit posts which you can read here and here if you haven’t already but this is me. Sometimes time runs away from me and I get sick so I take a few unglamorous outfit photos.

If you haven’t guessed from the title and my rambling intro, this post is all about the issues petite girls experience and understand all too well.

My outfit:

Camisole: Cotton On

Skirt: Woolworths (Similar) (Similar and in the petite range)

Scarf: AliExpress

Bag: Zara (Similar) (Similar) (Similar)

Sunglasses: Falco Milano

Shoes: Style Republic via Spree

21st Birthday Decor - Nadine Blewett

If you follow me on Instagram, you might know that I turned 21 in the beginning of January. I originally wasn’t going to write this post since it has been so long since my birthday but, since I decorated everything myself and feel incredibly proud of the look I achieved with the decor, I thought I would share this anyway as possible inspiration for future dinner parties or other special events you might host.

Review: Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation - Nadine Blewett

I mentioned on my Instagram stories the other day that there is a beauty product I talk about all the time and use religiously but it is a product I hadn’t yet reviewed. This is it: Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation.

This foundation is by no means affordable but, oh man, it’s beautiful and, you know, I never see anyone talking about this gem which most definitely deserves some praise!
